Thoughts...

I have been thinking a lot about my last post....it came off quite mean, and i am certainly not that way. I just really get offended when people twist my words around when they know what i meant. Call me crazy, i just don't like it. Well, since this is the last week of class, i will say that i have really enjoyed it. I have met/read some interesting people along the way and learned and discovered some new view points on life. While they are not my taste per say, I can and will respect them. On a lighter and way more fun note, I am going to see Danity Kane tonight at Rok Bar!!! Yay! I'm super excited! Can't wait:) My girlfriends and I are meeting some other frineds for drinks and then headin' out! Work tomorrow morning will be no fun:( Oh well, im doing it to myself, but I think it will be well worth it!

HAVE YOUR RELIGION AND EAT IT TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Religion is a touchy subject for everyone-the whole world! HGet over yoursleves and your twisted beliefs. I mean honestly, no one, no matter what your religion is, knows what is the "correct" faith, or the "correct" way to live your life. Have your religion and eat it too. I'm sick of reading people blasting other people for having different religions, or being gay or being a woman or what not. If you state to be unjudgemental and all you do is judge and put people down for what they believe in, then you suck at life, and at your religion. For me, religion is a personal thing. I don't preach to other people my beliefs. I only tell them when I am asked. People love to preach to me and I kindly say no thank you. Thats ettiquette people. No need for hatred. Oh and if I make a typo-for the love of GOD, forgive me! Don't twist my words around to prove your point. GEEZ!

Sleep, Sleep, Sleep-all day long!

Sleep, Sleep, Sleep-all day long! I would if I could, but it seems as though lately, thats all I do. When I finally get home from work/school I end up crashing for around 2 hours. And I mean deep sleep! I wake up, eat a bite, take a shower and then go to sleep for the night! Why am I soooo tired all of the time? I can blame it on my recent sickness of the flu. It kicked my butt! But im better now-have no fear. On a lighter note, one of my best friends birthday is April 15th, tax day. Bon Jovi is coming to town that night, and YAY guess whose going?!?!? Thats right, me and about 10 of my friends. The boyfirend of the birthday girl got a limo for that night as well, so Im super excited to say the least! Also, My favorite band of all time, OAR is coming to Cains Ballroom in Tulsa on May 3rd, you should all go and see them! They are amazing!!! Thats the latest news on my end!

I'm going nowhere fast!

So...this is my last spring break! Meaning my last semester of school! WHOOO HOO!!! I made a checklist of things i wanted to do/accomplish for my last year of school. One was get my tonsils taken out, check, take a fall break, check check, and another was to take a spring break, because I never had. I wanted to go somewhere where I had to fly, you know a destinations place. Well, I had plans to go to Chicago with the mom. Needless to say that fell through. Then San Francisco with my cousin. That too fell through. Now I'm going nowhere and everyone I know is headed to paradise! I know its jelousy rearing its ugly head at me, but come on! Two of my best frineds are going to the Bahamas! WHAT?!?!?! I want to go! OOOPS too little, too late:( I know I sound like a brat, but ask me if I care? I don't. Oh well....poor Lauren...haha pity party!

SEX ED!

So once again, it was a fun day in marriage class. We had a speaker and she was speaking about sex! Suddenly the sickness of the flu that i STILL HAVE deminished. She was a woman in her 60's speaking to a bunch of 18-20 something year olds, who thought we knew it all-what does she know? Well, she knew a lot! Thats what she knew! She was educating us about sexual experiences, how to have sex, what to do to get full pleasurable experience, how to masturbate, wht to use when you masturbate, how to feel-basically the whole nine yards. I will say this, I am a pretty open persone and usually don't get too embarrassed about sex or taking about it. And neither did this woman. She was rattling on and on for an hour and a half! One of the most interesting thinkgs that she said-which I don't fully agree with- was that people can start to masturbate as young as baby. As in, when they are rocking back and forth in the crib and their diaper rubs up against them, they feel that tingly sensations, they are masturbating! Ummmm...I don't know how I feel about that-THERE BABIES!!! Needless to say, it was fun and made class that much more interesting!

Is chivalry dead?

Call me old fashioned, but I expect my door to be opened for me, a gentelmen waiting for me to sit before he does, you know the common courtesy manners. Heres my problem. I met a guy a couple of weeks ago and we spoke, but nothing serious. We then went our separate ways for the rest of the nigt. At the end of the night, he came up to my friend, and asked why I didnt come talk to HIM!!! What? I'm the girl- HELLO?!?!?I understand that its probably hard for the guy to be confident and go up to the girl and be the initiator, but get over it. Maybe someone can shed some light on this matter. hmm...

Happy Valentines Day!

Yay for lovers day! As I sit here and blog away on Valentines Day, I am reminded of how I don't have one! haha, it's okay, i'm not bummed about it at all! A girl in my marriage class asked me if i had a valentine and I responded with "no." She then suggested that I enroll in the speed dating course at school. I looked at her, rolled my eyes, and turned around. Girls are brutal-me not her. I know she meant well, but I think I'll pass on that course for now. Another tid bit as well, I am SUPER SICK!!! Ahhh, I HATE being sick:( This time last year I was sick for most of the fall and winter seasons with tonsilitis. Needless to say, I braved the dreaded tonsilectomy and got my tonsils taken out. Worst experience of my life. I will never go throu that again! Well, I say that, but did you know that your tonsils can grow back? UGH! That better not happen to me!

Working all day and not eatng..

Boo Hoo for lauren. I was granted an early day from work yesterday so that I could get some errands ran and some homework done-uh huh. I was okayed to leave at one instead of the usual 5 or 5:30. Got to work, got all of my work done, yay for me, was litterally out the door when my boss comes running after me asking me to stay and finish up some things. Sure why not? I could use the ectra money. So I stayed, not having any lunch-which did a body good. :) Next time I looked down at the clock, it was 5:45. WHAT?!?!!?!?!? Where had my day gone? It went to work, thats where. I already had plans for girl night out-cocktails and dinner, the usual. But I was dead tired? i have worked for more than 8 hrs. before, I'm not a lazy person! I came home and was wiped out. I called my mom to get sympathy and it was nowhere to be found form her..haha She said "Welcome to the real world." Needless to say I didn't appreciate her "words of wisdom." Oh well, today is another day filled with school AND work....YES! Some blogs I found intersting were Marys, Mirandas and Torinas.

Marriage class was fun today

This abviously is not the first time I am bloggiong about marriage, so here it goers again! I am taking a marriage class this semester and have found a new love for it. Today in class after we took our test, we met again and discussed being single VS. married. We had three girls who were single and three boys who were single as well. The teacher asked questions like advantages and disadvantages of being single, and some shared their points of views, while others simply gave the " I dunno" answer. Duds to say the least. I am a single woman and I LOVE it! Some advantages of being single in my opinion arer that you have all of the freedom you could possibly want. You have no one to answer to. You can go wherever-whenever. As much as I do love being single, I do get those lonely feelings, especially when I need something fixed! haha but It always nice to have that companionship in another person. When the married people came up to the panel for questioning, thats when the fun began! There only 3 women-ages 23, 34 and 35. No married men in the class-go figure. These girls were hilarious! The 35 yr old woman was marriend to a Lebanese man- Being Lebanese, I understood her point of view-and she was speaking about the cultural differences and the problems that arose from the oppisite cultural backgrounds. Along with that, the 24 yr old was a christians and her husband was a jahova. Talk about major differences! It was very interesting to hear about all of their funny stories and how they each changed form dating and even living together, to being married-nothing changing but a signed piece of paper! Needless to say, it was a good day at school!

Children with cell phones

I have many cousins who are still in Elementary School who have cell phones. I got a cell phone when I turend 16-started driving, and had to pay for it myself. Obviously these children cannot drive and usually their parents know where they are at all times. Then why do they have cell phones? I don't get it. My best friend works at a cell phone store and says that parents come in with their children all of them time and are buying them blackberrys and razrs and such. These kids are just going to break or loose them on the play ground. When should we draw the line? Most of the time I feel like such a hypocrite for talking about children, because I don't have any yet, so I really have no idea how to raise them. But, I think for your 12th birthday, a cell phone is a little much.

Not a fan

I'm just throwin' it out there-I'm not a fan of smoking. Theres the news. I really LOVE going out, BUT, I HATE smoke. It's just sooo unattractive. I come home in fear of having my bed smelling like nasty smoke and changing my sheets everyday, which I do on the weekend. It's stereotypical for men to look cool and women to look trashy when they smoke, but I will say when I see a woman smoking, I'm like"eww. whats up with her." Not stickin' up for my girls. Sorry. And heres another tidbit for ya-SMOKING KILLS!!! NEWSFLASH. Don't do it. Okay? I hope in no way this offends anyone, I'm just speaking freely-and trying to breathe freely!

Getting Married

I am 22yrs. old and a woman. Am I considered an old maid? Why do people always ask and say: "Are you married or dating anyone?" "No." "Oh, well thats okay. Don't be sad." Guess what? I'm not, I'M 22!!!HELLO!!! My grandmother who is 97 got married at the age of 39 and had my mother, her only child as the age of 41. Why, of all people, is she telling me that I need to get married? I definentley want to be married someday, but I don't believe anytime soon. I have a lot of older frineds and cousines now in their 30's, amrried for 10+ years and regretting missing out on their 20's. I'm not saying thats how it is for everyone, but I don't want to wake up 10 years later wishing I was single and 10 years younger...Just some food for thought. I think I just want the wedding and honeymoon for now:)

I think I'm better now! YAY for me!

On my last post, I was talking about how stressed out I was about this semester, but I have now calmed down...for the most part. Whew! As I sit here typing away, I have the news on. Apparently winter weather is in store for tomorrow:( Can I just say one thing? I HATE WINTER! 'm not a fan of all of the snow and cold weather and being held up in your house without electricity. Not to be a negative Nancy, but come on! I just love the summer time! Not only is my birthday in the summer, June 2nd-I'm expecting a present-but I truly believe that everyone is in a much better mood in the Summer. And plus, it's more of a vacation-y time of the year, so yay for traveling! Some other blogs I found interesting were: All the World is a stage, Comibng in the Out Box, Delynna's Thoughts, Duckfish and Others and K-k-k-Katy!

i'm freakin' out!

Okay, I'm freakin' out! I am a senior in college at UCO! YAY for me! Nineteen hours plus practically full time work has got me going crazy! Needless to say, I am a very fun-loving optomistic person! A little more about myself: I am from Oklahoma City originally and still live there today. I'm a city girl. I have two older brothers who are 24 and 25, and I will be 23 in June, so needless to say, my mom had her hands full! I come from a very large family. At Thanksgiving, we counted around 150 people ( cousins, aunts, great aunts, and newest members of our family) all included! I love people, I'm a people person as they say! And more than pepole, I love to talk. My boss often jokes that I have never met a stranger. Some interesting and exciting things I learned about myself in 2007 were" I look faboulas in the color red, I know more Saved by the Bell trivia than anyone in the world, and that you can in fact make yourself sick by eating too many oranges. As you can see, I keep myslef busy with my hectic scheduele! BLOG ON!
